New Chief of Pediatric Cardiology Named

Dr. William E. Hellenbrand has been named Chief of Pediatric Cardiology at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. Dr. Hellenbrand earned his medical degree at Downstate Medical Center, State University of New York. He then pursued a residency in pediatrics at Yale-New Haven Hospital, followed by fellowships in pediatric cardiology at Yale University School of Medicine.
Before joining Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital in 1999, Dr. Hellenbrand served at Yale-New Haven Hospital as Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory; Clinical Director of Pediatric Cardiology; and Medical Director of the Yale Pediatric Subspecialty Center. His academic appointments there included Professor of Pediatrics and Professor of Diagnostic Imaging.
Dr. Hellenbrand joined Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital as Director of Invasive Cardiology. He is also Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
