Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH)
The Division leads a multidisciplinary outcomes clinic focused on infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Recognizing the very large cohort of surviving infants with this diagnosed stimulated the organization of this resource which integrates pediatric specialists in surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, neonatal outcomes, and neurodevelopmental outcomes in one comprehensive setting. With more survivors of this condition than ever before, whole cohorts of new issues are being unmasked as the field defect implications of CDH become realities. By anticipating such challenges and offering comprehensive integrated anticipatory care we anticipate that long term outcomes will be as encouraging as initial early survival.
