Their dedication to raising public awareness for the condition has had enormous impact on countless people. For these tremendous accomplishments and contributions, Columbia University Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital honored Suzanne and Bob Wright with the Columbia Presbyterian Health Sciences Advisory Council Award for Distinguished Service. The award was presented to the Wrights in Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital's Wintergarden on November 13.

	  				<title>"White Coat Ceremony" Welcomes Newest Scholars to Intensive Six-Year Lang Youth Medical Program   </title>

					<description>On October 29, the Lang Youth Medical Program for middle and high school students, the only hospital-based medical mentoring program of its kind in New York City, welcomed this year's class of students in a special white coat ceremony at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. The intensive six-year program has provided more than 50 students from the Washington Heights area of Manhattan with an education in science and medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. There, they receive the skills and support to help them realize their career aspirations in the health sciences. Working alongside doctors and researchers in a hospital setting, they learn about medical equipment, observe operations and attend medical lectures. At the ceremony, the incoming Lang Youth Scholars were presented with white coats, and the graduating Lang Youth Scholars were honored for their achievement.
